Slept well. Up by 6:00 am. That's what happens when I'm in bed before 10:00 pm! Unpack and hang clothes in the closets. Self monitoring is required for 5 days. I receive an e-mail reminder. Using the digital thermometer I brought I take our temps and submit the information to EHAS. Richard is 97.7˚F and I am 98.2˚F. I check out the beach. Looks a bit rough right now.

Thoughts turn to breakfast. Decided to walk over to the Sunset Cafe. Richard orders an omelet with ham and cheese. Comes with potatoes and bacon. Orange juice, coffee. I order a bagel with cream cheese, fruit cup, side of bacon. Coffee. Everything is great except for the bacon. It's not like the bacon back home that we're used to. This bacon is very chewy. We both don't like it. Cost without tip. 36.50€/$38.63 USD. Lovely views. Creole Rock.

We decide to drive to the Super U to get breakfast supplies so we can cook our own breakfasts in our place. It's a short drive-under 10 minutes. It's quite a large grocery store but sells more than just food. Liquor like vodka, rum. One problem. Most things have labels in French. There are several kinds of eggs. In different colored cartons. We end up with a 12 pack of water, large bottle of Pepsi, Carib brand beer, dozen eggs, butter or maybe it's margarine, 3 pack creamer, loaf of sliced white bread. If you want a bag it's an extra charge .15€ Cost of our items total 19.97€/$21.28 USD.

Back to the resort. Change into our swim gear. Richard inflates my float I brought. Sunscreen. Going to try out my snorkel gear. Today the water is a bit cool at first but the beach is now calm which is good for me. Snorkeling all I see are some white/silver fish. Lying on our loungers we are kept company by several iguanas.

Taking a break we decide to walk over to the pool. It's by the Sunset Cafe. Need room key to enter. Lovely views. Water is cold. Breezy. Loungers but not many umbrellas. Few others here. We don't stay long. No pictures as I don't have my camera with me and my iPhone is charging back at our unit/condo.
Return to our room. It's 2:30 pm now. Back on our loungers-see a group of what looks like jet skis?? Nice lazy day. Hoping to catch a sunset but clouds roll in.

Time for dinner. I have reservations for 7:00 pm. Parking lot. You pay $5.00 USD, tell the guy the name of your restaurant, get a slip of paper. You then hand this over at the restaurant and the restaurant gives you back the $5.00 USD.

BISTROT CARAIBES. Dinner. Seated at nice table. Drinks-bottled water, 2 glasses white zinfandel wine. Here is where I will get lobster. There's a fountain/tank. A guy helps me pick my lobster. Price is by the pound. 31€ per pound. Mine is 2 pounds. I request half grilled, half thermidor. Comes with 2 kinds dipping sauces. Spanish rice with peas. The thermidor half tastes the best. Very decadent and rich but so yummy. Richard has to help me finish the lobster. I really don't care for lobster but I had to try it once. Richard orders the red snapper fillet. Comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. He said it was good. Dessert-I get the nougat ice cream with raspberry sauce and fresh fruits of apple, kiwi, grapes, orange slice, and these yellow tiny balls of ?? Richard gets the house special. Chocolate cake, molten chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream. Oh, that looks like a lot of calories! Each dessert topped off with a square of dark chocolate. Complimentary ginger rum shots. Packed a bit of a kick but it was tasty! When bill is brought to the table there's a note that states unable to add tips to credit card. Yikes! I didn't bring much money. Between the 2 of us we manage to scrounge up around $29.00 USD. But then we're told tips can be added. Great. Cost 139.88€ without tip /$190.42 USD with the tip of $35.00 USD. Good food and great service.
